Bookbinding & manifestation for Pheonix Arts Space
Commissioned by Broken grey wires workshop in collaboration with Outside In.
The workshop encouraged self-reflection, through first art and image making, and secondly book binding. Making in a group environment provides learners with friendship and solace while they create and journey inwards.
Participants learnt how to make and bind a personal journal. Following this, I lead the group to looking at ways we can utilise drawing as therapy. The book was taken away, becoming a
well-being tool and personal practice for the individuals to beyond the workshop.
Underbank Studios X Merseyway Workshop: collaborative mural painting
A community mural painting workshop, co-hosted by myself, as part of Underbank Studios, in collaboration with Merseyway workshop.
Created using masonry paint, and home made painting instruments. We made a start on this mural ourselves collabortively, and invited the public to make their own contribution during an event.
Underbank Studios X Heritage Open Day
Inspired by the local industrial heritage of stockport and it's cotton spinners, I was comissioned to lead a collaborative workshop by Stockport Council's Heritage Team, Underbanks SK.
Celebrating Heritage Open Day, 'Stopport Cloth' explored the fascinating aspects of the victorian era through archival research and collaborative painting.
