Eyup!
Hiya, my name's Heather Chambers I'm an illustrator from Stockport. My work consists of figurative forms, dynamic composition, and playful colour palettes. I'm a proud Stopfordian and the creative community that surrounds me significantly inspires my practice. I am interested in all things kitsch, nostalgic and playful, which contrasts with my love of brutalist buildings and northern england.
Alongside my illustration work, I also run arts workshops in print-based mediums, book making and mural making. I founded — Roots riso, a female ran risograph printing collective.
I am also co - founder, and creative director of not-for-profit Stockport based arts hub Underbank Studios, where roots riso lives.
I studied at Stockport Art School and The University Of Sunderland, I have a BA Hons in Illustration and an MA in Design. I work in a variety of contexts, from traditional and digital illustration, to large murals, printmaking, and animation.
